Synco Mic-M1S Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone

Bundled with cables for use with cameras and mobile devices, the Synco Mic-M1S ultracompact camera-mount shotgun microphone delivers improved directionality compared to your device’s built-in mic for better capture of your subjects during run-and-gun shoots and for vlogs and mobile journalism projects.

Since it runs on plug-in power and features no controls to configure, the Mic-M1S provides simple plug-and-play operation with no batteries or phantom power required. Two detachable 3.5mm cables are included—one TRS cable for use with cameras and one TRRS cable for connection to a smartphone or tablet.

Unlike the camera or phone’s built-in mic, the electret condenser capsule’s cardioid polar pattern tends to reject sound coming from the back and sides to yield a stronger focus on sources in front of the microphone. The supplied 4-ring shockmount attaches to the shoe mount of your camera and mitigates the transfer of vibration and camera handling noise. A 1/4″-20 thread on the bottom allows you to attach to the mic to tripods, boompoles, and stands. A furry windshield is included to reduce wind noise and a carry bag is supplied for storage and transport.
